Girly Girl, Scrapbooks

Part 2 Girl Scrapbook

I’ve finally got the pictures of this scrapbook, which happens to be part 2 of my 3 series girly scrapbooks. It’s the cute girl collection by Crate Paper. If you haven’t already seen part 1 of this scrapbook you can check it out here:  Cute Girl Scrapbook. All three scrapbooks were made using the cute girl collection of paper, however I’ve also included bits and pieces from Maggie Holmes bloom collection.

When I purchased the materials, I might have overdone it a little. Ok, a lot. But when you see these pictures, you will understand my obsession with this collection of scrapbook paper. Check it out!

Little Man, Scrapbooks

Little Man Scrapbook

I made this scrapbook for my little man Everett. It features everything that adventurous little boys love like trucks,  pirates, dinosaurs and more.  I used multiple scrapbook collections from the company Echo Park to include the Little Man collection, Dino Friends and Pirates LifeThese three scrapbook lines worked well with each other and I could use them intermittently throughout the book.

In addition to these three scrapbook lines, I used some bits and pieces from each line as well as some plain scrapbook paper. Here is everything you need:

DIY Barn Door Headboard

IMG_20170507_211556_220A close friend of mine had an old barn that collapsed recently and she let us have some of the barn wood. We were so lucky to be given this rustic jem because it’s not easy to come by.

I decided to re-purpose the distressed wood into an amazing king size headboard that would become a statement piece for our master bedroom. I put my husband to work on this one and he taught me some of his carpentry skills. Here is how we did it:

Custom Murals

Camping Mural

We just moved into our house a couple weeks ago and already the projects have began. I have a long list of stuff I have been itching to get my hands into and finally, I can get to work. I started with one of my favorites and I am so excited to share it with you. . .

It’s the painting I did for Everett’s camping theme bedroom. I got this scene idea from Everett’s favorite book, The Brave Little Camper that we purchased from Target. It even has a button that you can press to make sounds of the night. He just loves this book and he tries to mimic the sounds. My favorite is when he howls like the owl.

This is just the beginning, there is so much more I have in store for his bedroom. I plan to make a cute hanging arrangement  for above his dresser that will have an adventure theme. A lot of my pieces came from Hobby Lobby. They have an entire collection of wall decor that was so perfect for my adventurous little man. Check it out!

The Cute Girl scrapbook line features everything girly and magical such as mermaids, unicorns and fairies. The front page pretty much sums it up:

Constructive Eating

One of my favorite parts about being a mom is thinking creatively at meal time. I have a stock pile of fun and useful items that I have been patiently waiting to try out with Everett. Although he is just one year, I think he did alright testing out one of my favorite items:

The construction plate! I found this plate at our local mall, but it can also be purchased online. It was made to help picky eaters find meal time adventurous. There is also a girly plate available with a whimsical fairy garden. Continue reading “Constructive Eating”

Young Living Collection for Kids

Young Living has an entire collection of essential oils called KidScents that were specifically designed and diluted for kids! I’m completely obsessed with each one of these oils. Each one was formulated to help with certain areas. c360_2017-01-19-11-38-32-918.jpg

SniffleEase: Helps with cough, colds, congestion, sniffles and runny noses. I love using this oil when my little guy isn’t feeling well. I’ll dab a drop on the bottom of his “feetsies” and put warm socks on him. Continue reading “Young Living Collection for Kids”

Everetts Camping Bedroom

I’ve been so excited about creating this magical camping themed bedroom for my Son Everett. He is only 1 year, and I’m already collecting everything I need to complete this masterpiece.

We do a lot of camping as a family so some items were easy to come by, such as the sleeping bag and camping chair. Why not let him use these in his room. Let’s camp out!

I want to share all the details on how to create this amazing space. Here is my checklist: Continue reading “Everetts Camping Bedroom”

I Must Go – Adventure is Calling

I decided to give you all a sneak peak into my latest scrapbook album. I plan to post all the pictures later.

This scrapbook line couldn’t have been any more perfect for me. I had so much fun creating this album because all the details where there: from roasting marshmallows, to the vintage camper and the campfire burning.

DIY Christmas Ornaments

Let me tell you, I had so much fun making these! I made these fake cookies to stage a room decorated for Christmas at the Linden Mansion in Little Falls, MN. Here’s what you need: A good salt dough recipe (any will work, but I got mine from http://www.allrecipes.com), puff paints, acrylic paint and sprinkles. Get creative, you do not have to do the same style or colors or even the same shapes. Kids love making these too! If i do it again: I’ll be making these as ornaments for the Christmas tree. Just add a hole at the top before you bake.
